The removal efficiency of the Cr (VI) has been determined at different dosage, concentration of metal and pH. It was found that agricultural waste adsorbents are superior to activated carbon. Since they are relatively cheaper and locally available. The isotherm data obtained is more closely to Freundlich adsorption isotherm for coconut shell and neem bark. Sugar cane bagasse follows Langmuir adsorption isotherm. The exhaustive capacity of the sorbent is higher in case of column process than the batch process&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
